These patterns were developed to take advantage of various techniques for taking in fullness. They include pleating and smocking, and using motifs.

The patterns are simple to make, the shaping at the waist, and the decorative effects, are achieved at the making-up stage.

Shape charts and punchcard charts are supplied, together with full instructions for knitting and finishing. These patterns are suitable for any standard gauge punchcard or electronic machines with ribber.

The book is A4 in size, contains three knitting patters over 13 pages and is illustrated in black-and-white and colour. It has a soft cover and is comb-bound for ease of use.
